Delta Blog Aggregator

Blogs are a new form of publishing. They allow anyone with a computer and an internet connection to publish news, pictures, opinions, and stories.    The word comes from "web logs".  We want to encourage "blogging" by current and former Delta people as a valuable source of community news, ideas, opinions and a record of life from the perspectives of Delta.

If you have a blog let us know, and we may list it here.   If you have fewer than 10 posts, we'll provide a hyperlink.  When your blog has more than 10 posts, let us know and we'll give you a window like those following.  To be considered, blogs must be written by current or previous Delta residents, and must be family friendly.

Don't know about blogs?  It's easy to set up your own blog on Blogger -- it takes just a few minutes.  You can post text and photos easily.  There are other blogging websites that you can choose from.

A Wild Olive Branch

David Johnson is the publisher of the Delta News Web.  He lived in Delta from 1981-1987 when he served as Delta Area Game Biologist, and again from 1995-2001 at which time he and his wife went to Sweden for several years.  He currently lives in Anchorage.  You can read his entire blog or click on individual headlines below.

Delta Lions Club Motocross

The Delta Lions Motorcross Branch Club (DJMX) is aimed to benefit the community and provide a great opportunity for families to get out and spend some good quality time together. This club is going to mostly deal with the racing and riding of motorbikes, four-wheelers, and bicycles. These activities will take place on an enclosed and controlled environment.

The DJMX has become a part of the Delta Lions Club. In return we will be providing the Delta Junction community with occasional vision tests, city/road clean up days, and scheduled rider safety and training classes to name a few activities. There is also a club fee that will be charged once a year to help cover club fees.

The DJMX is a club open to all who would like to participate. The races will be split up by type of machine, age, and skill level. This way everyone will feel like they are getting the most out of their time and are being treated fairly. The track is up and running for the majority of the summer, as well as have a big showing at the Deltana Fair.
