The Delta Junction Public Health Center is holding a Woman’s Health Clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 14th and 15th.
Exams, Pap Smears, family planning counseling and supplies, and sexually transmitted disease screening will be available.
This clinic is for teens and women who have difficulty getting health care due to lack of health insurance or other barriers. Fees will be
charged on a sliding scale basis, but no one will be refused service if unable to pay. Sexually transmitted disease screenings are
available at no charge for men and women.
Appointments are required. Call the Delta Public Health Center at 895-4292 for more information.

If it's Wednesday, it's Story Hour Day! Each week 3 to 5 year olds who are not yet in school meet with Miss Nancy to share a story, create a simple craft and enjoy a healthy snack. Children must be registered for each weekly session - just call 895-4102 to sign up. Donations for snack time are always welcome! Story Hour begins promptly at 11:00 and a parent or caregiver must attend with each child. Winter is coming - thirty below zero cancels story hour.

Description:

Communities along the North Richardson Highway State Scenic Byway are developing a Corridor Partnership Plan (CPP) with assistance from the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. The goal of this project is to develop a plan that represents the vision of the communities along the byway and that tells the complete story of the byway corridor. Completion of the CPP will open up grant funding opportunities for projects that will implement the plan. Join us for the next Community Workshops to review the final draft of this plan on the following dates:
