Airborne brigade to Train in Donnelly Training Area

BRIGADE TRAINING EXERCISEGENERAL INFORMATION

The 4th Brigade (Airborne) 25th Infantry Division, based at Fort Richardson, will be conducting a training exercise in the Donnelly Training Area from April 24 – May 12. About 3,000 Paratroopers will be training.

• All artillery and mortar fire will be west of the Richardson Hwy. every day from April 25 – May 12. Hours of firing will vary.
• Small-arms live fires will take place on Meadows Road every day from April 25 – May 11.
• Personnel and equipment parachute drops will occur April 24 – 26 and 30 at Donnelly Drop Zone.
• Convoys will be moving from Fort Richardson to Fort Greely from April 17 – 22 and between Greely and Eielson almost daily from April 28 – May 11. Vehicles will travel in groups of about 20 and are expected to move at about 45 mph. Convoy information is summarized in the table below:
