Friendly Frontier Days Scheduled for May 27

Step back in time to celebrate the frontier roots of Delta Junction. The 3rd annual Friendly Frontier Days sponsored by the Delta Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for May 27 and is sure to be a good time. Some of the days’ events include the popular pig kissin’ contest. Place your vote today! Three lucky people will get the chance to smooch a very cute pig that is after they catch them. Pig Kissin’ voting cans are located the Buffalo Diner, Delta Library, IGA Food Cache, Frontier Pull Tabs, Granite View Sports, Mt. McKinley Bank, Poorboy Restaurant, Wells Fargo Bank and there are two cans at Ft. Greely. Kids and adults alike can take part in the Frontier Costume Contest, listen to some great music and enjoy a tasty BBQ. There will be many kids events including a pet parade, sponsored by Durham Reality, gold panning area sponsored by Salcha-Delta Soil and Water Conservation, face painting sponsored by Insanity Acres and hayrides sponsored by Friends of Delta Ag.. There will even be a wondering clown this year; Rozzo the clown will have all kinds of surprises for our Friendly Frontier visitors. So mark your calendar and get ready for a day of fun in Delta Junction. More details will be coming out about the event in the next couple of weeks.
