Alaska vegetable and flower starting charts will be provided to determine when seeds should be started indoors. Successfully harvest seeds from the more common vegetables, annuals, perennials, herbs, and wildflowers. Dry and store seeds, and test seeds for viability. Sow seeds indoors to get a head start on the growing season.
Composting With Earthworms - Earthworms can allow you to compost household garbage indoors during our long winters, or during the summer. In this class will build your own small worm composting box and learn how to maintain it. Booklets will be provided.
Fee is $5 per person for per class, registration deadline is April 17, 2006. Please call the CES office at 895-4215 to register or for details.
