Misinformation circulating Delta about proposed Deltana borough
TIt appears the upcoming vote on the Deltana borough continues to generate widespread interest in Delta Junction.
Some of the more interested parties are posting flyers throughout the town, which contain very questionable statements. According to Janet Boyers April 20, 2006 column in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, there is, Misinformation circulating about proposed borough. In the column, Pete Hallgren, Delta Junctions city administrator, puts it flatly, Someone is borough bashing.

Also in this latest weekly column by Boyer, Janet highlights the lack of support for making the Glennallen to Fort Greely section of the Richardson Highway an Alaska State Scenic Byway. Evidently there is a lack of grassroots support especially in Glennallen.
According to Brenda Peterson, the Delta Chamber of Commerce director, the lack of designation will reduce the tourism marketing south of Delta.
