Using the New Delta Community Calendar

The new Delta News Web community calendar has some significantly different features. Here are some things you need to know:

• When you visit the calendar page, you'll sometimes see yellow events at the top of the page. These are "all day" events, or events not tied to times.
• You can find additional information about all events. In calendar view, just "hover" over the event title, and a little box will pop up showing more details.
• You can also click on the event in the yellow box and a new page with all event information will appear. You will be able to print that event, or even download it to your PDA if you have one.
• It's easy to show month views or day views. There are "jump boxes" at the bottom of the calendar page that will take you to different weeks, months, or years. To see a detailed day view, click on the link at the top of the calendar column.
• You can print "printer friendly" versions of the calendar using the link at the bottom of the page.

You can post your own events to the DeltaNewsWeb's community calendar. The best way is to obtain your own userid and password and you will be manage new, existing and old events. Contact the DNW editor for your own account information. It's also possible to publish events anonymously, but this alternative does not permit editing. And we can post events for you, but we do need to charge for that.
