Sports-Delta wraps up softball crown

Saturday, May 27, 2006 - The no-hitter got away from Lana Green, but the Delta Junction High School senior helped make sure that the Mid Alaska Conference softball title didn't escape the Huskies.

The right-handed pitcher threw a two-hitter and generated two hits Friday night in a 6-2 victory over the Monroe Catholic Rams at the Interior Girls Softball Association Fields, giving the Huskies their first conference title and an unbeaten finish in league play.[more - Fairbanks Daily News-Miner]
