Attention Alaskan Voters
The Division of Elections reminds you that the Primary Election is August 22, 2006. Regular polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. If you are unable to go to the polls on Election Day, vote absentee!
To vote by mail, your absentee by mail applications must be received by August 12th to be eligible to receive a by mail ballot for the Primary Election.
Absentee in person voting begins Monday, August 7, 2006 at locations throughout Alaska. You may vote absentee in person 15 days before an election and on Election Day. If you are unable to go to the polls due to age, serious illness or a disability you may apply for an absentee ballot through a personal representative selected by you to bring you a ballot.
