Good morning from the editor

I have returned from my little trip. My family and I enjoyed a mini vacation to Valdez this last weekend. I am sorry that the DNW was not updated. I tried to take care of it, but had no phone connection in Valdez, while staying at Captain Jim's campground.

Hope everyone had a lot of fun at the fair. Before leaving on Saturday morning, my family and I took in the fair on Friday evening. It was reported to me on Sunday that the fair was receiving rain. Hope that didn't put a damper on things for all you fairgoers. I want to thank everyone for sending in their photos of the parade and the activities that took place at the fair. I will use them randomly.

I am working on the updates for August on the DNW right now, and it will probably take me a little while. When one leaves her computer desk, 458 emails later and sorting thru all of them, I have found all the ones I need for the DNW updates today.
