The wonderful sound of bluegrass music

Many folks in Delta enjoy the wonderful sound of bluegrass. This is a great opportunity to get out and kick up your heels. This weekend in Talkeetna the Talkeetna Bluegrass Festival will be taking place - Mile 102 Parks Highway. You can have a family campout and listen to bands from all over the state and the Lower 48. Bands play 20 out of 24 hours a day, Friday through Sunday night.

It's Alaska's biggest campout! On-site shower facilities are free, just bring a towel (and some soap please). Get thirsty in the summer sun? No worries... there's fresh drinking water available on site, so you don't have to trek to town. The parking lots have been fixed up to better accomodate families, handicapped folks, band members, and for the overall safety of all festival-goers.

Website Admission: $35 for the weekend; $10 for Sunday only; free for seniors and children 12 and under.
