Weed Identification Workshop
On Thursday, November 30, 2006 at 6:30-8:30 in the CES Conference Room at the Jarvis Office Center. This workshop will be with Phil Kaspari – who is an Agricultural Extension Agent
The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will conduct a weed i.d. workshop to target noxious, invasive, and miscellaneous weeds of interest in the Delta area. This workshop will assist cooperators in the EQIP Program as well as other area farmers, the home gardener, or anyone involved in activities on disturbed ground.
It is the goal of extension to educate the community on the introduction and identification of problematic weeds in our area to improve farm, home, and wild-land stewardship efforts. The emphasis of this workshop will be weed identification; a weed control workshop will be offered at a later date.
