DISH Network Signal loss
As many of you in our community I have the DISH Network satellite system for my household. Along with many of you I have also been dealing with the signal loss in the recent weeks that just seems to be getting worse as winter nears. So today with just over a 37 min wait I was able to talk to one of there technical support advisors who told me that “cloud cover, rain and snow are all common elements to cause signal loss and we do not control the weather ma’am.”
I then inquired if there was anything I could do to be compensated for my aggravation? His reply was if I so choose to keep track of the time and date of when my signal goes in and out of service and was then to call back and talk to another representative and ask for a “Time without service credit.” I will have those hrs, days etc. credited back to my account.
Maybe if we all start to do this DISH Network will finally figure out what keeps happening to our signals and fix the problem.

During this time every year we experience "sun fade" when the sun is directly behind the satellites and the noise from the sun blocks out the signal. It usually only lasts a few minutes and occurs from October 3-15. Antenna size and alignment are also a big factor.
