Was GRRRRRREAT times 3!
On Saturday afternoon, 12-8, Alpha Omega Life Care, Inc., collaborating with the local Kiwanis Chapter, delighted forty six youngsters and their parents at the annual Christmas Party.
There were 3 tables of Christmas crafts to keep everyone busy, and 3 more tables loaded with fuel---cookies, candy, cake, nuts and punch.

Then, Ho! Ho! Ho! the real Santa Claus and a real elf showed up, toting 3 bags of presents. Some supplicants were shy, some were straight ahead with their lists memorized, a few cried, flashbulbs exploded, and everyone scored gifts!

Per custom established over the years, Pastor Bob Carpenter discussed the origins of some traditions of Christmas, and read the Christmas Story to the assemblage.

Our heartfelt thanx to Kiwanis member Ms Becky Koenig, Ms Patty Jensen, Ms Carla Dekle, and Ms Jeanie Gallagher who brought goodies, Ms Colleen Hartman, Judith and Claudia who decorated and supervised, and Mr. Ron Magee, as always a Super Santa.

This has been an annual community event for five years, presented for the benefit of local children. Enter it on your ’08 calendar, and next year you can volunteer to help. Lotsa work to go around for everyone, and lots of youngsters to delight!
