Fullness of Time

Well, they’ve done it again! The Delta Christian Drama Association, a local non-profit organization dedicated to wholesome, high-quality theatrical performances, delighted us with their sixth successive and successful production on the weekend.

The original script by author/director/producer/actor Mr. George Hosier, was presented seamlessly by the cast of thirteen, crew of two and assistance from other volunteers beyond our ability to count.

To single out anyone for special mention from among this wonderful group must not diminish the many contributions of those not so mentioned. That sincerely said, the young persons comprising three-fourths of the cast are simply superb—the countless hours of learning lines, moves, and rehearsing give us hope for the future, and confidence in the present---as one of them earnestly said, when complimented on her performance, "…it is my privilege…"

The costume and set designer, Ms Gaylene Hosier, again outdid herself. The costume and sets are always tasteful, comprehensive and well executed, and provide visual impact without distraction (well, then again maybe the tricked-out Roman soldiers…)

It becomes obvious that Mr. Hosier is a scholar of customs, mores, living conditions and history of biblical times, and it shines forth in his period costume drama playwrighting—he could probably secure a university chair in the topic when he retires from his present occupation.
The lighting technician was right on at all times, and the sound technician, too, was professional.

If you do not know any of these folks by name, refer to your program. If you don’t have a program, it means that you missed the show. If you missed the show, then that is your experiential loss—it was simply wonderful, and every single one who had a part in the production deserves praise and kudos and pats on the back—‘specially those young actors!

Please tell ‘em so when you can. Post a response to this review, or write DCDA, POB 1003, Delta Junction, AK 99737, or call 895-5289, or email DCDAowner@yahoogroups.com.

Too seldom we recognize accomplishment, and it was right here in this town on this weekend.

I want to thank George and Company for the wonderful production of "Fullness of time". I believe this is the best to date! Thanks also for putting Christ in Christmas.
