Delta Chamber of Commerce Membership Luncheon

The May Membership Luncheon will be held at noon on May 15, 2008 at the Jarvis West Building Conference Room. Lunch is provided by IGA Food Cache and the menu is Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Vegetables, Dinner Roll, Dessert & Drink for $10.00 Please RSVP to the Chamber office at 895-5068 by May13th to be entered into the drawing for a free lunch.

Guest Speaker is Lorna Shaw. Lorna is the Executive Director of the Council of Alaska Producers, a mining industry trade association comprised of the large, hardrock mining companies active in Alaska. A fourth generation Alaskan with a graduate degree in business administration from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, she previously held government and community relations positions with Kinross Gold’s Fort Knox Mine in Fairbanks and has also served on the staff of Alaskan representatives in both the state legislature and the U.S. Senate. Lorna serves on the board of directors for the Resource Development Council and is past president of the Alaska Mineral and Energy Resource Education Fund (AMEREF). She lives in Fairbanks with her husband, Kelly and 2 ½ year old daughter, Rachel.
