The lynx is the only cat native to Alaska. Because they are shy and unobtrusive animals, people think that lynx are scarce. In Alaska, however, they are commonly seen during long periods of summer daylight. This lynx couldn't resist taking a look back, enabling the photographer to get a good look at him.
