Alaska Fred Meyer Stores Are Recalling Beef Products

Even though nobody in Alaska has reported being sick over beef that may be tainted with E. coli, a deadly bacterium, the stores have a recall out for beef products.

Nebraska Beef Ltd, in Omaha announced the recall of 1.2 million pounds of beef on Firday, according to the Federal government. There were additional recalls from June 30 and July 3.

Fred Meyer removed their beef from their shelves over the weekend. The public is asked to check their products for tainted meat. If it is tainted, you can either throw it away or return it to the store for refund.
